A new look for Lady Liberty, perhaps? For the figure, I used 5 stencils with printer pigment and aerosol paint. For the snake and tattoos, I used alcohol markers and charcoal pencils. All over top original photography.

Barn Raven
I superimposed my illustration of a raven on a barn that I photographed about 20 miles from our house. for the raven, I used an airbrush with a stencil, then went in with markers, and white and black charcoal pencil.

whistling past the board shop
Part high-tech hubris, part populist payback, part Abby Road. I used pencil and alcohol marker to illustrate the boneyard gang and stencil and aerosol paint to do the corporate bro's. In the background, I superimposed a stretch of Wyoming highway onto the entrance of a Belleville, Illinois Skateshop.

Buffalo hayfield
I photographed this guy in a Texas arroyo and thought he'd like a good place to graze in a Wyoming hay field. I finished off the vignette by stenciling in blue stripes and a flock birds.

I'll leave the metaphoric inferences to you. It's a five-color original aerosol stencil. I used six hand-cut stencils and sprayed nine passes of paint. The background is a digital montage of several of my photos. The photos were clouds from Iowa and a cement wall in Mexico.

This stencil art came from san cristobal de las casas, mexico. The figure is Frida kahlo and I love the nod to toulouse lautrec's night cat poster. I added color, design, texture and I superimposed a water-main plate from Greenville SC on top of it all.

Spatula Rabbit
I found this wall and Weber grill in East Peoria, Il, a skip stone away from the Illinois River. I spray painted Oswald the lucky rabbit directly on the print using a hand-cut stencil, an airbrush and printer-ink pigment.

sky toads
these randy amphibians were in a pond behind my sister's house. I thought they made a nice cloud formation over an Iowa corn field. Crows are from mt. dora, fl. I stenciled those in later.
